The tool mounting is star shaped to prevent the blade from creeping or rotating when cutting. The variable speed head oscillates in an arc of 3.2 degrees at a rate of 14000-21000 oscillations per minute and the speed can be set to suit the task being performed. Benefiting from a larger motor than its predecessor, the new Fein Multimaster has a 250 Watt, high torque motor which allows it to cut metals as well as wood.
