The Kreg KJD stepped drill bit is specially designed for pocket hole joinery. The small tip provides a clearance hole for the screw shank, while the larger diameter produces a flat-bottomed hole for the head of the screw. A corded, high rpm drill is recommended. 3/8" high speed steel step drill bit. The tip of this bit is 1/2" in length. Our bits have Kreg stamped into the shank of the bit for identification.
