The 1-3/16" AVT® Cordless XGT® 40V Max Brushless Rotary Hammer Kit, compatible with SDS-PLUS bits, AFT®, AWS® (model GRH08M1), is a wireless concrete solution designed for heavy-duty applications. It delivers power, speed, and endurance for demanding cable-free tasks.
The GRH08M1 is powered by the 40V Max battery with a Makita brushless motor, which combined, provide the power and performance required for heavy-duty applications. It can deliver up to 135 3/8" holes using a 40V 4.0Ah* XGT® battery. The variable speed selector and trigger allow the user to match the speed to the application.
This impressive performance is combined with advanced comfort and convenient features, including Active Feedback-sensing Technology (AFT®), which shuts off the motor if the accessory rotation is abruptly forced to stop, and Anti-Vibration Technology (AVT®) to reduce vibration. AVT is more than just a padded handle; it is an internal counterbalance system that uses air pressure to move the pistons in the opposite direction of the transmission piston, actively reducing vibration. Additionally, the vibration-absorbing rear handle and side handle further reduce vibration. For additional durability in extreme job site conditions, Extreme Protection Technology (XPT™) is designed to enhance resistance against dust and water.
The GRH08M1 has dust extraction capability (sold separately) and complies with OSHA Table 1 with the options of onboard HEPA Dust Extractor or AWS® Dust Extractor only. For added efficiency, the Rotary Hammer is equipped with the Auto-Start Wireless System (AWS®), which utilizes Bluetooth® technology for wireless on/off communication between the tool and the dust extractor. Once connected via AWS, the AWS-equipped dust extractor will automatically turn on and off when the AWS-equipped wireless tool starts or stops, running only when the tool is in use. This increases productivity on a single charge and reduces continuous noise on the job or work site.
The constant speed control automatically applies additional power under load for optimal performance. The torque limiter clutch is engineered to prevent gear damage by automatically disengaging gears if the bit gets stuck, and the constant speed control adds power to the motor to maintain speed under load for finishing the most demanding jobs.
Additional performance features include an electric brake, integrated LED light, and an ergonomic soft rubber grip handle with a large two-finger trigger that provides increased comfort on the job. It also features a retractable hook for securing the tool when not in use.
It has 3 operation modes for "Rotation Only," "Hammering with Rotation," or "Hammering Only" for multiple applications. The GRH08M1 is ideal for a range of trades including mechanical/electrical/plumbing, contractors, concrete contractors, road and bridge contractors, utility workers, pest control operations, maintenance operations, and more. It accepts SDS-PLUS bits.
